I had the opportunity last night to drop in at the ING Direct Cafe in Vancouver for an event organized by Amuse Consulting to hear the Five Hole For Food Story and learn about ways that this amazing charity can use our help for their upcoming 2012 tour.
If you didn’t know, Five Hole for Food is an annual coast to coast tour playing hockey to support food banks across Canada. The 13-city cross-country road trip will visit St. John’s, Halifax, Charlottetown, Saint John, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria and Vancouver.
Five Hole For Food sets up a street hockey rink in the heart of each city and invites anyone and everyone to come out to play hockey to fight hunger.
Participants just need to bring a stick, a can of food, and have fun. 100% of the proceeds go to the local food bank in each city.
The 2012 tour is fast approaching and after through to the presentation last night by charity founder Richard Loat and speaking with other members of their team, Five Hole For Food is looking for the following connections to people and/or companies in the following areas for their upcoming 13-city tour:
