Why I didn’t post mortgage rates.
The main reason I never posted rates was from an educational point of view. I always liked to stress (and still do) that there is more to a mortgage than rate.
Why I decided to post mortgage rates.
No longer are mortgage brokers the gate keepers of information. The internet changed everything in this industry.
More and more Canadians are finding this website when searching online for mortgage information. What I have come to realize over the past 5 years and over 500 blog posts later is that I have done an excellent job to continually post relevant, engaging and educational material.
Since more Canadians are searching for mortgage rate information online, to hold back the final piece of the mortgage puzzle was somewhat selfish of me.
While the mortgage rates posted on my site might not be the “lowest” advertised rates on the market, I’ll continue to use my experience and knowledge of the Canadian mortgage market to offer my clients what I consider some of the best mortgage products available.
Where to find rates on this site
Current mortgage rates will be posted at www.scottdawson.ca/rates and there is a button on the sidebar on each blog post. The rates advertised are what I believe to be some of the best mortgage offerings available in Canada. From time to time there may be additional unpublished and/or quick close specials that are available. If you’d like more information on any of the posted mortgage rates please contact me.
How to apply for a mortgage
The first step in getting pre-approved is to apply. Completing an initial mortgage application will only take you a minute. You can either apply securely online or download an application to complete offline.Apply Now
