New Home HST Calculator

Those who buy or build new homes, or substantially renovate their homes, are eligible for an HST rebate of up to $26,250.

    Great post Scott – but please remind your cients that you will have to pay HST on services too! So NOW you WILL PAY HST on Realtor commissions and lawyer fees!

    You are right Teri! I have read that on any home purchase you can expect to pay around an additional $1,100 with the HST now in effect. Lawyers, Movers, etc. it all ads up.

    why is it that the new home price automatically deducted the embeded PST amount, is it because they automatically assume the seller or developer will pass on the savings?

    this calculator is bogus, how can it automatically take off the PST amount assuming the developer/seller is going to pass over the savings to the end user. essentially buyer are still the one end up paying whatever the amount listed.. fk the govt, as usual they are skewing the numbers.
