Last night, The Golf Institute at Fraserview hosted their first Range Night at Vancouver’s Fraserview Golf Course Driving Range. It pays to have friends in the golf industry because without Jeff and Tara Ciecko from CK Golf Solutions inviting me on Facebook, I probably would have never heard about it, since I usually golf at Langara, and have never been to either the Fraserview Golf course or driving range.

What is Range Night?

Fraserview Driving RangeRange night is a monthly (every last Thursday) free event hosted at Vancouver’s Fraserview Golf Course. From 5:00pm-8:00pm there is driving range specials, KP and Long Drive contests where you can win a sleeve of golf balls as well as a year end draw to “Play with a Pro”. Best of all there were all the golf professionals on hand from Fraserview Golf Course showing some pro-tips and trick shots throughout the evening.

Learn from the Pro’s

During the evening there was also ample time for some one-on-one with the pros and I was fortunate enough to spend 15 minutes with Director of Instruction, Derek Thornley who was able to analyze my swing and grip to give me some pointers that should really help my game. I’ll be booking a full hour with him for sure!
