Realtor Resources: QR Codes

The number of mobile phones which are internet enabled has increased dramatically over the past few years.

Now is the time to begin to leverage this technology and begin to send targeted traffic to your custom listing sites, virtual tours and YouTube videos.

The tools listed below are a great starting point for creating content and leveraging QR Code technology.

  • Goo.gl : Create QR Codes
  • YouTube : YouTube Videos are viewable on mobile phones
  • All mobile phones app stores have free barcode programs just search for "QR Code". On the iPhone a good App is QR Code Reader.

Below are some QR codes that show how you can direct mobile users to your listings, webpages and YouTube videos.

I would also be more than happy to sit down with you anytime "one on one" if you would like more information on how this technology can help your business.

Great post on QR codes for real estate. I work with a company called Qonnect that is doing this for agencies at an enterprise level. We help full companies create a mobile presence for their agents and their listings. Let me know if you ever have any questions or want to chat about the responses we have received so far. Good luck with everything!

I totally agree that even though there may not be a huge audience right now, it won’t be long for QR codes to be used all over the place – anything that makes it easier and eliminates steps for the consumer will win out in the end.
    Great stuff Scott!

Thanks for the comment Teri. Yes I agree that QR codes might be a bit on the edge of technology for some people but I do see the value of integrating them into our current marketing.

One way of getting around the technology gap would be to include a web link below the QR code which would allow a person without a mobile phone to be able to type the link in at their computer. The Goo.gl link shortener provides a QR code with a shortened link all in one.
